about

Syncopated drumming became one of the most popular parade drumming styles in Long Beach, Ca. during
the mid 1960s to late 1970s. As times changed, so did the drumming. In an effort to preserve the thundering
drums of syncopation, and bring this unique sound to a new audience, The Last Regiment of Syncopated
Drummers proudly present their first written showpiece TSUNAMI. Included in these recordings, are historical
cadences that helped shape the lives of many drummers, rhythms that have laid dormant for many years. With
the help of several Long Beach alumni drummers, these original cadences have been brought back to life 50 years
later!
